This week we are continuing the final stages of our essential maintenance to Ferriby Road Bridge. This is to replace the expansion joints in the carriageway, this time on the Southbound side of the Bridge (Hessle to Barton).
To facilitate this work there will be lane closures in place Southbound. This will be happening from Tuesday 2nd January to Friday 5th January between the hours of 7pm to 6am daily.
Please note that you will still be able to cross the Bridge with or without a HumberTag, however, you will need to follow the signage and possibly pay online (www.humbertag.com).
Also, between Friday 5th January and Sunday 7th January we will be maintaining some expansion joints on the Bridge itself – there will be a contraflow in place at the South end of the bridge meaning only one lane of traffic will be open in each direction.
Drivers are urged to allow extra time for their journeys in order to minimise any potential disruptions.
Works of this nature are weather dependent, meaning that they may need to be cancelled and rescheduled at short notice. Should this occur, more information will be provided on our social media channels as soon as it becomes available.
