We have essential work taking place next week. This is to work on the expansion joints at Barton viaduct.
Between 08:00 am and 3:30pm on Monday 1st July, on the south half of the bridge (from Barton Tower to Far Ings Road) we’ll need to close a lane on the north and southbound sides.
Then, on Tuesday 2nd July, we’ll be carrying out similar works. However, the Northbound lane closure will extend to Hessle Tower and the East Walkway will be open instead of the West.
The times listed above are the earliest and latest anticipated time. These works are weather dependent and may be cancelled at short notice.
The toll booths and tag lanes will be unaffected and you’ll still be able to cross the Bridge in either direction with or without a HumberTag. Please allow extra time for your journey if travelling during this time, and drive carefully through the roadworks.
Whilst we know that delays on the bridge can be frustrating, we’d ask that you remember our colleagues are here to help and make your trip a pleasant one. So please treat them with respect.
